EMERALD Cruises on Tue celebrated the float-out of its new luxury yacht Emerald Sakara (pictured), which is following in the wake of sister ship Emerald Azzurra.
Sakara is now undergoing her final fit out in preparation for her upcoming sea trials.
Work is on schedule to complete Sakara’s interior before she welcomes guests on board for her eight-day Ionian Sea Adventure from Athens to Rome, departing 05 Aug.
Scenic Group founder and Chair Glen Moroney was present for the float out with his wife Karen, and believes the yacht exceeds his expectations.
“Sakara opens up a whole world of new destinations that are sure to spark even greater demand,” he said.
“Being able to add to the Emerald Cruises fleet so swiftly is a sign of the positive reception our new yachts have received from guests and our travel partners.”
After debuting in Aug, Sakara will embark on her European summer season exploring Italy, Greece, Turkey, and the Adriatic, before spending the European winter in the Caribbean and Central America.
Like her sister yacht, Sakara features just 50 staterooms, the majority with their own private balcony or terrace.
On board, Sakara’s Wellness Centre comes complete with a spa, a gym, and a state-of-the-art infrared sauna.
Sakara also features a Sky Bar, an infinity pool and comfortable public areas.
