EUROPEAN cruise operator Sea Cloud
Cruises has for the first time ever produced
a combined brochure for all three of its
vessels, with both river and ocean cruising
featured in its 2012 itineraries.
The new brochure released yesterday is
titled ‘Captivating Yachts’ and provides a
range of themes and experiences for
“discerning passengers” to encounter art,
music, gardens, golf and even cycling.
River Cloud II will operate in Belgium and
the Netherlands from April 2012, taking in
the spectacular ‘Floriade’ floral festival
which only takes place once a decade.
Following art, culinary and music-themed
cruises on the Rhine, Moselle and Main
Rivers she will head down to the Danube
Delta in July to take in the region’s
spectacular and diverse wildlife.
Her ocean-going windjammer
counterparts Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II will
both spend the European winter in the
Lesser Antilles and the Grenadines, Cuba,
Costa Rica and Panama.
Sea Cloud II will travel through the iconic
Panama Canal on her 04-06 January 2012
voyage, while sister ship Sea Cloud will
show off her fresh look after undergoing six
months of rejuvenation last year.
Sea Cloud, pictured below, was built in
1931 for Lady Marjorie Merriweather Post
and the makeover has seen her fully
restored to her former glory.
