Winter 2015/16:
Sea Cloud: The summer-warm paradise islands of the Lesser Antilles and The Grenadines are the Windjammer Lady’s home from mid-December 2015. Whether for seven, ten or fourteen nights – guests can sail to Caribbean beaches, snorkel in coves with crystal clear waters and view lush green tropical forests, (e.g. 4th – 14th January 2016, ten nights, Barbados – Barbados, early bird rate from € 3.775 p.p.).
Sea Cloud also sails to the ABC islands of Bonaire and Curaçao and Panama City (e.g. 18th February to 3rd March 2016, 14 nights, Barbados – Puerto Limón/Costa Rica, early bird rate from € 5.995 p.p.). In addition Cuba and Central America entice. There is a Cuban sailing trip from Havana to Santo Domingo/Dominican Republic (15th – 27th March 2016, twelve nights, early bird rates from € 5.155 p.p.) as well as a cruise to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize and Mexico and to Havana (3rd – 15th March 2016, twelve nights, Puerto Limon/Costa Rica – Havana/Cuba, early bird rate from € 5.155 p.p.).
Sea Cloud II: Cruising on a traditional tall ship across the Atlantic leaves a lasting impression. One can experience this firsthand on the 17 day cruise on Sea Cloud II from Las Palmas/Gran Canaria to Willemstad/Curacao, where the course is determined purely by the elements (27th November 2015 to 14th December 2015, 17 nights, early bird rate from € 4.595 p.p.). Furthermore the renowned adventurer and around-the-world sailor Burghard Pieske will be on board.
Having arrived in the “New World”, the focus for Sea Cloud II is on Panama and Costa Rica. Three journeys lead to unique nature reserves, picturesque beaches and the booming metropolis of Panama City. A special highlight of all cruises is the daytime passage through that great engineering feat of the 20th century, the Panama Canal. The voyages will be accompanied by naturalists (e.g. 21st December 2015 – 4th January 2016, 14 nights from Puerto Limón to Puntarenas (San José), early bird rate from € 6.735 p.p.).
The end of the season sees Sea Cloud II returning to the Lesser Antilles and the Grenadines where her program includes a day of sailing alongside Sea Cloud.
The outlook for 2016:
In this, their anniversary year, Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II will be inviting to a birthday voyage, as well as several joint encounters on the high seas. There will also be a special joint birthday cruise. The rest of the time Sea Cloud will sail predominantly the Adriatic and the Eastern Mediterranean, whilst Sea Cloud II will be sailing in northern Europe, to Bergen/Norway, the Shetland and Orkney Isles, Scotland and Ireland.
