For their last season sailing under the Seabourn banner, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend will return to where it all began more than 20 years ago – the Caribbean.
The final voyages will incorporate the signature Seabourn events that helped pave the way for luxury small-ship cruising including the line’s iconic “Caviar in the Surf” and popular Marina Day.
“Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend have delivered countless unforgettable memories and special ‘Seabourn Moments’ over the years,” Seabourn President Richard Meadows said.
“We invite our guests to celebrate these fine ships and come back one more time to where it all began in the Caribbean.”
Sister ships Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend will cruise the azure waters of Seabourn’s “Uncommon Caribbean” for the next six months before being transferred to their new owners in Europe in April 2015.
Beginning November 15, 2014, Seabourn Spirit will offer 18 seven-day cruises alternating between St. Maarten and Barbados including a February 21, 2015, departure priced from $3399* per person double occupancy. The ship’s final voyage under the Seabourn banner will be a 13-day transatlantic voyage from St. Maarten to Barcelona on March 21, 2015.
On November 9, 2014, Seabourn Legend will begin a series of alternating seven-day voyages between St. Maarten and Aruba and end its Caribbean season with three seven-day roundtrip cruises from St. Thomas including a March 8, 2015, departure priced from $2799* per person double occupancy.
Both ships will visit a bevy of chic towns and popular islands including St. Kitts, Antigua and St. Barts, and call at smaller ports and island yacht harbours such as Mayreau in the Grenadines’ Tobago Cays; Le Marin on Martinique and Îles des Saintes on Guadeloupe.
Adding that special Seabourn touch during the ships’ final season, guests will be able to indulge in the line’s signature “Caviar in the Surf” beach barbecue, where uniformed staff members plunge into the water and invite guests to wade in and receive iced champagne and caviar at a surfboard bar. The event includes a lavish barbecue lunch, watersports, music and ample time to soak up the sun on a white-sandy beach. This option is scheduled to be available at Prickly Pear Island in the British Virgin Islands and Mayreau in St. Vincent and Grenadines.
Another highlight of Seabourn’s Caribbean cruises is the popular Marina Days, featuring complimentary watersports such as pedal-boating, kayaking and banana boat rides from the ships’ unique fold-out marina.
Seabourn’s all-inclusive fares offer tremendous value for one of the world’s finest travel experiences.
