SINGLE cruisers and travellers in search of
spa serenity are being catered for onboard
Norwegian Cruise Line’s two un-named
Project Breakaway vessels.
New details, released this week by the cruise
line, reveal that there will be 59 singleoccupancy
cabins on both ships, each with a
full sized bed, shower and sink, separate
enclosed toilet, and window with corridor view.
The single cabins will be conveniently
contained within a keycard accessible
complex, complete with its own two storey
lounge and bar, making it easier for single
travellers to make friends.
The Project Breakaway ships will also each
feature 28 Spa Balcony cabins and 20 Spa Mini-
Suites, and every cruiser who stays in a spa
cabin will be entitled to complimentary entry
to the vessels’ respective Thermal Spa Suite.
Aesthetically, all spa styled cabins will
feature decor which evokes the spirit of spa
tranquility, whilst geographically they will be
located adjacent to the vessel’s spa centre.
Other cabins to debut onboard the vessels
include 449 inside cabins per ship, each with
two beds which can convert to a queen size
sleeper, and many with additional pull out
beds and interconnecting cabin doors for
larger groups.
158 Oceanview cabins will also debut on
both vessels, 42 of which will fall into the
Family Oceanview category with
accommodations for up to five passengers and
added wardrobe and bathroom space; whilst
the vessels’ Family Mini Suites will premiere on
Decks 12 and 13 close to the children’s facilities.
MEANWHILE NCL has also announced its
finalist selection for the Project Breakaway
ship naming competition, with five titles in the
running to become the new vessels’ respective
names.
The finalists include Norwegian Bliss
(submitted by David Menker), Norwegian
Breakaway (Kim Powell), Norwegian Escape
(Joseph Funigiello), Norwegian Getaway
(Dennis Hultman) and Norwegian Journey
(Florence Pflaster).
The two winners will be announced this week.
