P&O CRUISES HAS PARTNERED WITH LOCAL NEWCASTLE
(NSW) Television station NBN, to celebrate
the tireless efforts of people in the Hunter,
Central Coast and Northern NSW regions
who work tirelessly for the benefit of their
communities.
The television campaign features a series
of ads fronted by rugby league legend Paul
Harragon, which invite the public to
nominate unsung community heroes- giving
them the chance to win a luxurious three
night Pacific Jewel food and wine voyage.
βIt could be a sporting coach, social and
charity worker, artist or a volunteer who is
usually working unheralded to offer support
and improve the lives of others less fortunate
or provide the guiding hand and opportunity
to encourage our youth,β said Harragon.
Nominations for Community Heroes are
now open, and to be eligible nominees must
be over the age of 18 and reside in either of
the Central Coast, Newcastle/Hunter, North
West NSW, Mid North Coast and Far North
Coast regions.
Nominees will be judged based on overall
community and special interest group
benefits, how nominees have inspired
others, innovation involved in the activity,
special circumstances where a nominee may
have overcome significant difficulties and
the length of service to the community.
