VIRGIN Voyages has debuted its third ship Resilient Lady (pictured), welcoming her to her new homeport in Athens.
Resilient made her debut last night, sailing her “MerMaiden” voyage, which will stop in Santorini, Rhodes, Bodrum, and overnight in Mykonos, before returning to Athens.
She will also debut the Adriatic Sea & Greek Gems itinerary this season, which cruises for seven nights from Athens , calling on Split, Kotor, Corfu, and including a late-night stay in Dubrovnik.
Her inaugural summer season in Greece will also feature brand-new entertainment and refreshed menu items & food concepts.
Resilient will debut five new shows, two all-new soirees, exclusive on-board parties, more live music acts, and a festival stage of rotating performances.
Alongside entertainment, Virgin is also unveiling new food and beverage offerings including Razzle Dazzle After Dark, a menu curated in partnership with Chef Eric Haugen.
Virgin is also introducing “Opa Hour” on all three of its ships to celebrate Resilient’s launch.
This ode to the Greek culinary tradition will be held in the Dock and the Dock House, and will feature a Greek-inspired food and beverage menu.
“I’m thrilled this day is finally here and that Resilient Lady has officially joined our award-winning fleet,” Chief Executive Officer Tom McAlpin said.
“Since our launch just a few years ago, we have received the travel industry’s top awards and have experienced a very high rate of return with up to 40% of our Sailors rebooking their next cruise while they’re still on board.
“I know people are going to love voyaging with Resilient Lady as much as they have with Scarlet and Valiant Lady, and I look forward to sharing this five-star experience with even more Sailors this summer.”
