AURORA EXPEDITIONS HAS GOTTEN BEHIND THE
Sydney Ice Bear project by offering Aussies
the chance to win a trip of a lifetime.
The Ice Bear project kicks off tomorrow
when British ice sculptor, Mark Coreth carves
a giant polar bear out of ice at Customs
House Square in Sydney.
Over the next 3-4 days the polar bear will
gradually melt, exposing a bronze skeleton
underneath.
The project is designed to raise awareness
of the environmental issues currently
threatening the existence of the bears.
As a major sponsor of the effort, Aurora is
offering a trip for two to the Arctic valued at
$20,000 including flights, transfers and a
Spitsbergen Odyssey voyage in July 2012.
Entries for the competition are now open
with people now able to enter at
www.facebook.com/sydneyicebear, as well as
at the Sydney Ice Bear stand, Customs House
Square from 3-10 June.
