What a way to make an entrance!
Imagine this. You’re relaxing on a beautiful
beach on the Baltic Sea during a summer
day when all of a sudden, seemingly from
nowhere comes a GIGANTIC Russian military
hovercraft right up to the shoreline.
This is exactly what happened in
Kaliningrad recently, with the dramatic and
unannounced arrival of the huge 550-tonne
craft captured on film by a stunned onlooker.
Needless to say, the enormous amphibious
machine had no trouble clearing a path,
with curious fellow beachgoers quickly
herded in the opposite direction by a group
of Russian marines.
The 60-metre long hovercraft is fitted with
missile launchers and multiple gun mounts –
everything you need for a day at the beach.
