VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Get a sneak peek of APT’s AmaReina, three days before it’s officially christened!
Cruise Weekly editor Louise Goldsbury has moved onto this week’s christening cruise of the AmaReina and snapped these photos before the official ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Friday. The ship is currently docked on the Danube River in Vienna.
Welcome aboard! The lobby has a glass elevator, flanked by sweeping stairs and chandeliers. APT’s all-Australian guests will feel a little classy as soon as they arrive.
The most innovative new feature is this swim-up bar on the top deck – sure to be the most fun spot to cool down in summer.
Giant chess and plenty of seating will make this a popular area on sunny days.
An open-air chill-out lounge area, which is rarely seen on river cruise ships.
Mismatched furniture, light snacks, a pianist and a bar serving free drinks can all be found in the main lounge.
The main restaurant has a buffet for breakfast and lunch, fine dining for dinner, booths as well as tables, and a private wine room (open to everyone).
This little bistro is open 10.30am-10.30pm in case you get hungry in between meals (impossible!)
Accommodation is very spacious with under-bed storage, twin balconies, great bathrooms, free wi-fi and an Apple entertainment centre with free internet, TV and movies.
Goodnight!
Tomorrow: A special new classical music experience in a palace, exclusively for APT guests.
