THE United Arab Emirates has ushered in a
new era in cruising, welcoming MSC Cruises’
MSC Lirica into the region for the first time.
Lirica departed Genoa on 14 October for her
maiden UAE season, cruising into her new
winter home port of Abu Dhabi on 29 October.
Her UAE arrival was met with a spectacular
fireworks display which coloured the sky
shades of gold and silver, whilst guests and
crew were welcomed ashore into a cruise
terminal filled with traditional dancers,
falconry displays and henna designs.
During her inaugural winter season Lirica will
host 19 eight-night itineraries taking in Muscat,
Al Fujairah, Oman and Dubai.
