Explorer of the Seas’ first season in Sydney
6th May 2014: Royal Caribbean International’s 2015/16 season on the region’s biggest and most innovative ships is on sale now. Choose from more than 55 sailings onboard three amenity packed ships, including the two biggest megaliners to sail down under, Explorer of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas, as well as local favourite Radiance of the Seas. Plus guests who book by 31 December 2014 can take advantage of launch savings and enjoy up to $1,000* off the full brochure fare.
“For the summer of 2015/2016, Royal Caribbean International will offer the biggest, most advanced and most innovative cruise ships in the region. All of our three ships will have undergone approximately $200 million worth of renovations by the time they arrive in Sydney. Our guests in Australia and New Zealand can be sure that they will sail on state of the art and feature packed ships,” said Sean Treacy, commercial director, Asia Pacific for Royal Caribbean.
“The 2015/16 season will see Royal Caribbean International increase our capacity to the region by more than 35,000 – a 24 percent increase compared to the 2014/15 season – which will see us maintain our position as largest cruise operator in Sydney.”
Explorer of the Seas will reposition to Australia from Singapore on a 10-night sailing to Fremantle, arriving at her first Australian port of call, Fremantle on 13th November, 2015. She will then set sail on a Round Australia and New Zealand cruise from Fremantle on 13th November before arriving to her new homeport of Sydney on 28th November, 2015. Explorer of the Seas will also offer the reverse of these itineraries at the end of her first season, departing from Sydney on 12th April, 2016 and from Fremantle to Singapore in late April. From November 2015 through April 2016, Explorer of the Seas will primarily sail nine- to 14-night New Zealand and South Pacific cruises, as well as three- and four-night sailings in November, February and March for guests to ‘sample’ one of the world’s largest and most innovative cruise ships.
Voyager of the Seas arrives for her third consecutive Australian season, on 5th November 2015 from a 14-night Singapore to Sydney repositioning sailing. Throughout the season, Voyager of the Seas will offer eight- to 13-night South Pacific and Fiji cruises as well as a seven-night Tasmania cruise which will feature an overnight at Hobart, and an eight-night Queensland cruise. She will wrap up her season with a return 14-night repositioning sailing to Singapore, departing Sydney on 16th April, 2016.
Radiance of the Seas will offer guests a variety of itineraries to the South Pacific and Fiji, New Zealand, and around Australia during her 2015/16 season. Sailings range from eight- to 14-night South Pacific itineraries, and two 16-night Round Australia’s Top End and Round Australia’s Bottom End sailings from Sydney and Fremantle. Radiance of the Seas will also sail a four- and six-night Sampler cruise to no-where, a seven-night Tasmania cruise, a 10-night Queensland cruise, as well as two combinable trans-Pacific crossing between Vancouver, Hawaii and Sydney in September 2015 and April 2016.
