Quantum of the Seas has moved from the building dock to the open ocean for the first time, now undergoing sea trials ahead of its much-anticipated debut next month. To get there however, the ship had to navigate the River Ems from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany – no mean feat. Bridges and powerlines were required to be moved to accommodate the vessel during its journey, with the ship the biggest by far to sail the river. With only a few feet from the ship’s sides to the river bank, watch as the ship carefully travels from the shipyard to the ocean.
