Cruise and Maritime Voyages is excited to announce that the premium cruise ship Astor will return to Australia for a fourth season from October 2016 through to March 2017.
And following on from the popularity of Astor’s 2015 London to Fremantle 53 night Voyage via the Panama Canal, which was sold out in nine weeks, Astor will again depart from London (Tilbury) and sail to Fremantle via the Panama Canal in 2016.
Departing October 16, 2016 from London, Astor will deliver the opportunity for passengers to visit some of those places they thought they may never get the chance to visit – all in one outstanding itinerary. The beautiful beaches of Antigua (St John’s) and Bridgetown (Barbados) will be enjoyed for three consecutive days, plus Castries (St Lucia), which is very popular with cruise passengers for its duty free shopping, is also included on the Southbound itinerary.
Guests will then journey down the iconic Panama Canal, the body of water that separates North America and South America, as well as the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. The 100-year-old man-made canal is an engineering wonder. And waiting for at the other end is Acapulco, Mexico’s oldest and most well-known beach resort town, often seen in Hollywood movies and TV shows.
Cruising from Acapulco to Auckland, New Zealand is no less impressive, with stops at three amazingly scenic French Polynesian islands of Nuku Hiva, Papeete and Moorea Island.
Guests on board Astor will be introduced to a Pacific island lifestyle that even after such a short period of time will be difficult to leave behind.
Auckland is more than a stop-over enroute to Australia. Even if you don’t get past the port, you can’t help but to be impressed by the world class shopping, restaurants and adventures that have created a buzzing waterfront precinct.
Astor will then arrive on Australia’s east coast, where she will arriving cruising into the spectacular Sydney Harbour. Astor will then continue to Adelaide and Kangaroo Island before returning to Fremantle on December 9, 2016. This itinerary has been carefully planned to allow plenty of days at sea enjoying the Astor’s facilities in between what are known to be popular ports of call.
Early booking twin saver fares are now on sale, representing a saving up to 40% starting from $6,299* or just $119* per person per night.
