OCEAN life up in the air.
It’s not everyday that a shark takes to the
sky, and so it’s understandable that the
sight of a shark floating 7,000ft up in the
sky gave one pilot a serious surprise.
The Kiwi pilot was preparing to land at
Christchurch International Airport when he
spotted the 5ft shark staring in at the cockpit.
After landing, the pilot discovered that
the sea monster was in fact one of thousands
of Air Swimmer helium remote
controlled sharks snapped up by shoppers
in the pre-Christmas shopping frenzy.
It is likely that the sky shark will not be
the last to scare air passengers, with NZ
police confirming they have been bombarded
with of reports of helium shark escapes.
