DISNEY Cruise Line’s ‘Heroes and Villains’ themed Disney Destiny will set sail in Nov (CW 21 Mar 2024), debuting one-of-a-kind venues and experiences.
Destiny, a sister ship to Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, will sail her maiden voyage from Port Everglades on 20 Nov.
This will be followed by an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean including visits to one or both of Disney’s island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
A brand-new family dining experience, exclusive to the Destiny, will complement two guest-favourite restaurants from Wish and Treasure.
The iconic songs and legendary moments of The Lion King will come to life at ‘Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King’, a first-of-its-kind dining experience celebrating the renowned film.
A colourful ensemble of live musicians and storytellers will take the stage, presenting a retelling of Simba’s story from cub to king, along with a musical journey through the award-winning soundtrack.
A uniquely themed menu will accompany the performance, including authentic African spice blends, and sauces.
Guests will also be invited to a celebration of Marvel Super Heroes at ‘Worlds of Marvel’, to recognise the legacy of Disney animation at 1923 restaurant.
During the party, passengers will enjoy their favourite Disney songs, and test their knowledge of the Marvel Universe, all as an onscreen story unfolds starring the lively duo of Rocket and Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy film series.
Destiny will also continue Disney’s innovative family dining concept, where passengers experience one of three restaurants each night, accompanied by a dedicated service team that is assigned to them throughout the voyage.
The ship will also offer spectacular entertainment for the whole family, including two brand-new experiences with Cruella de Vil from One Hundred and One Dalmatians.
Guests can either put their personal style to the test on Cruella’s ‘wretched runway’ or take part in a bit of “treble-making” as they create a lyrical tribute to her.
A Marvel Super Hero will also be Destiny’s signature stern character, with a “larger-than-life” sculpture of Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots decorating the back of the ship. MS
