Save up to 30% and no single supplements – Book by March 31
A new, four-country Pandaw River Expedition from Thailand to China is one of dozens of Pandaw river cruises in Asia discounted by up to 30 per cent if booked by March 31, 2016, with no single supplements also available on many sailings.
* New for 2016, Pandaw’s seven ‘Mekong to China’ journey will take passengers aboard the RV Laos Pandaw from Chiang Saen in Thailand, through Laos and Burma and, for the first time, across the Chinese border to Jinghong where the Mekong turns emerald green. The cruise includes excursions ashore to jungle tribal villages, Buddhist temples and tea plantations. Sailings from February to April this year are available, with an April 18, 2016 departure available from US$2975 per person, twin-share or for solo use, meaning no single supplement is required. This represents a 15 per cent discount if booked by March 31, 2016.
* A discount of 30 per cent is available on a seven-night voyage aboard RV Zawgyi Pandaw on the remote and untouched Upper Chindwin River in Burma between Monywa and Homalin. The discount is available on two sailings – July 16 and 23, 2016, with fares now available from US$2450 per person twin-share or for solo use, meaning no single supplement is required. This includes a 30 per cent discount if booked by March 31, 2016. Daily excursions are included as well as a domestic flight connection in Burma.
As a specialist in Asia river cruising and Australia’s leading agent for Pandaw, Active Travel is also offering discounts and no single supplement offers on a range of other Pandaw river expeditions this year in Vietnam, Cambodia, Burma, Laos, China, Thailand and India if booked by March 31, 2016.
Each of Pandaw’s 14 ships are hand finished in brass and teak by traditional craftsmen, meaning guests cruise in comfort and luxury. The ships also have ultra-shallow drafts, allowing them to travel to remote areas, inaccessible by land or most other vessels. Most passengers opt to spend their time sitting outside on the decks watching pristine, remote and timeless scenery drift by. Local cuisine is showcased aboard Pandaw’s boutique, colonially-styled river steamers and locals also perform many cultural dances for guests.
Fares include local soft drinks, beer and spirits and excursions ashore to local villages, markets and temples.
With more than 20 itineraries across Asia to choose from, travellers can opt for the cruise which best fits their plans and interests. Bookings made before March 31, 2016, will attract a discount of up to 30 per cent on selected cruises.
