SILVERSEA has unveiled the public spaces at The Cormorant at 55 South, which will be the world’s southernmost hotel (CW 17 Apr).
The 150-room property in Puerto Williams has been designed to streamline travel to Antarctica, with Silversea today unveiling a look at its lounges, gathering areas, and the panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness.
A highlight of The Cormorant will be the fireplace lounge (pictured above), which will offer a variety of plush seating, fine wines, signature cocktails, and sweeping vistas of Patagonia.
Each of The Cormorant’s 150 guest rooms will feature a view of the surrounding forest or the Beagle Channel, with interiors featuring wood tones and handcrafted items created by Chilean artisans.
Guests will enjoy a culinary experience rooted in Chilean flavours at Latitude 55 (pictured inset), with a dining venue that celebrates the region’s ingredients and traditions.
The Cormorant is set to welcome guests in Oct. MS
