Avalon Waterways is offering a Fly Free deal with 2017 itineraries aboard its newest river cruise ships in Asia – two spectacular vessels now plying the waters of the mighty Mekong and Irrawaddy rivers.
Both launched last year, the Avalon Siem Reap and Avalon Myanmar now sail itineraries between Vietnam and Cambodia and in Myanmar, offering all the space and contemporary style of Avalon’s European Suite Ships in a smaller, boutique vessel.
From now until May 31, 2016, travellers who book any 2017 cruise aboard the two new ships can receive free return economy flights* from Australia. Or, those who prefer to arrange their own flights can instead opt for a saving of $1000* per person on the cruise price.
Itineraries aboard the new ships include:
Fascinating Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong River – 13 days between Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap, including the Cu Chi Tunnels, Phnom Penh and the iconic temples of Angkor Wat. From $6159* per person twin share.
Golden Myanmar & the Alluring Irrawaddy – 14 days beginning in Yangon and cruising between Bagan and Bhamo, exploring some of the most extraordinary temples and rural landscapes in Asia. From $9722* per person twin share.
Catering to just 36 guests, the 60m Avalon Siem Reap has been fitted in contemporary Asian style and is small enough to sail all the way into Ho Chi Minh City and seasonally into Siem Reap, saving hours of additional travel by road.
The Avalon Myanmar is the same size and is small enough to cruise from the temple-dotted plains of Bagan to the upper reaches of the Irrawaddy at Bhamo.
Built by local craftsmen, both ships have been designed to reflect the character, symbolism and traditions of the regions through which they sail. Each has 18 air-conditioned suites featuring Avalon’s signature open-air balcony, with wall-to-wall panoramic windows, retractable screen systems and doors that slide open to make the most of the passing scenery.
