NEXT year Royal Caribbean will pare back its
Bermuda offering, cutting the number of calls
to the island by 11, from 55 in 2012 to 44 in 2013.
This year Explorer of the Seas will make 30
calls to Bermuda whilst Enchantment of the
Seas will make 25.
Next year however, Grandeur of the Seas
(which will replace Enchantment of the Seas)
will only feature 15 calls to the Island, whilst
Explorer will feature 29 calls.
βWe had early discussions with Royal
Caribbean to include additional Grandeur of
the Seas calls from Baltimore, with a weekend
stop in Bermuda and continuing to Maine and
other locations in New England,β a Bermuda
Government spokesperson said.
βRoyal Caribbean decided that these cruises
were not selling well, and decided not to
include them in their 2013 itinerary,β the
spokesperson added.
