THE Chinese port of Dalian, located on the
Yellow Sea at the southern tip of Liaodong
Peninsula (the most northern ice-free port in
China), is planning on revitalising its facilities,
in a bid to lure cruise ship business.
According to reports, the Port has partnered
with the developer Dalian Port Real Estate,
and will makeover two of its existing piers into
a development comprised of retail outlets,
hotels, apartments and office areas, as well as
a new cruise terminal.
The plans are currently under wraps and in
development, with architects and designers
currently working out the layout and look of
the project.
