Cruise night of nights honours the sector’s top performers.
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has just wrapped up the formalities at tonight’s Cruise Industry Awards in Sydney. The glittering event at The Star saw hundreds of attendees turn out in celebratory finery, with the industry coming together to showcase excellence and support for the sector.
CLIA MD Joel Katz welcomed attendees, noting cruising’s “undeniable success thanks to the work of our talented and determined travel agency community”. As well as the awards, guests were treated to stunning entertainment courtesy of Sydney’s Brent Street performing arts school.
The evening wrapped up with New Zealand’s Craig Harris being inducted into the CLIA Australasia Hall of Fame for his longstanding contribution to the industry where he has been involved in cruising for almost half a century.
More details in Monday’s issue of Cruise Weekly as well as a special CLIA Awards publication this week.
