EXPLORA Journeys Vice President/Head of Sales Nicole Costantin has lauded the contribution of travel advisors to the cruise line’s success, as it celebrates the one-year anniversary of Explora I’s (pictured) first departure.
Costantin explained to CW the importance of advisors in spreading the word of Explora in the highly competitive, blue-ribbon luxury cruise market.
“We’ve relied so much on our advisors…when they have to consult on Explora Journeys, they don’t need to consult on the other brands, because their clients have probably already cruised on those brands.
“What we’re asking them to do is just put us in front of [cruisers], tell them about us, so that’s why we put so much effort into the trade, financially and physically.
“We’re going to keep needing the support, we’ve got six ships coming,” Costantin added.
Explora recently celebrated the first anniversary of when she embarked on her maiden journey on last Aug (CW 04 Aug 2023).
The ship has spent the past year sailing the scenic landscapes of Northern Europe to the vibrant cultures of the Americas and the Caribbean, visiting almost 120 ports in 45 countries.
Explora I is now cruising in the Eastern Mediterranean, with those on board this month able to join in the celebrations throughout Aug.
Magali Dahan, who was the opening performer on board Explora I’s maiden journey, will be welcomed back, while guests who make a reservation this month will get a Journeys Experience Credit of 365 per suite on all sailings from 23 Aug 2024 – CLICK HERE for more. MS
