The $7.75 million Australian Sky will set sail in 2027.
A second, five-star overnight cruise vessel, Australian Sky, will join the Murray River Paddlesteamers fleet, CW can exclusively reveal, set to be home ported in Mildura.
Sky will set sail in 2027, and will connect the north-west Victorian city with Adelaide on three- to 11-night cruises.
The Vic State Government will support the project through its Regional Tourism Investment Fund, which will see Mildura host its first cruise vessel in decades.
Sky will be a sister to the soon-to-launch Australian Star, carrying 38 guests, and generating an expected $5.8 million for the surrounding Sunraysia region.
The addition will bring Murray River Paddlesteamers’ fleet to three, alongside its original ship Emmylou, which is used on both day and overnight cruises.
