Celebrity Millennium will
return to Australia as part of
the premium line’s inaugural
Asian season in 2012-13.
CELEBRITY CRUISES HAS OPENED BOOKINGS FOR
eight 14-night itineraries and two
repositioning cruises from Hawaii to Sydney
and from Sydney to Singapore.
The new Asian program will include a
brief visit to Sydney by the refurbished
Celebrity Millennium, which was based there
in summer 2008-09.
It will also be the first time that two
Celebrity ships have ever sailed
simultaneously in local waters, with Celebrity
Solstice to be based in Australia in summer
2012-13.
“Celebrity Millennium won many hearts
when she was previously based in Australia,
and we expect many fans will be glad to see
her again,” said Adam Armstrong,
commercial manager, Celebrity Cruises
Australia.
According to Armstrong, the ship’s
repositioning cruises offer Australians “a
one-of-a-kind travel experience, conveniently
departing from our doorstep”.
“Sailing from Singapore and Hong Kong –
with their excellent flight connections to all
parts of Australia – we have no doubt that
Celebrity’s brand new Asian cruises on the
five-star Celebrity Millennium will be
extremely popular with Australian guests,”
he said.
The biggest ship to be based in Asia, the
2158-passenger Millennium will offer twoweek
cruises in nine new countries with ports
of call including Singapore; Bangkok,
Thailand; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam;
Halong Bay, Vietnam and Hong Kong,
China.
Overnight stays will allow time for
sightseeing and shopping.
New features on Millennium include 107
AquaClass “spa-inspired” staterooms and
17 more ocean-view cabins, with 74%
containing a balcony.
The 2012-13 Asia itineraries went on sale
on 09 April.
