APT has announced plans to introduce Bordeaux as a destination to its already popular and expanding French river cruising program in 2016.
According to APT General Manager Sales and Marketing, Debra Fox, the move comes as a direct response to increased demand for the destination, “France is really popular with our guests. They love the history, the culture and food, and they also want to sample and learn more about the wine. We already offer unforgettable land touring in the Bordeaux region so adding river cruising is a natural next step.”
The award winning luxury river cruise operator plans to relocate its 74-suite AmaDolce from its existing base on the Danube to the Garonne and Dordogne rivers in South Western France in early 2016 to deliver a series of cruises that focus on the rich cultural, wine and gourmet heritage of the region.
Details of the new cruises will be revealed in APT’s much anticipated Europe River Cruising 2016 preview brochure, due to be released in early 2015.
