THE 13 AUGUST OPENING OF PORTLAND’S NEW
mega berth has been moved back until 01
September, due to “construction delays”.
When complete, the new Maine Pier 2
Berth 2 facility will be able to accommodate
ships measuring up to 1,200-feet in length.
At present the port is notifying cruise lines
of the delay.
It is expected that the first vessel to dock
in the new berth will be Enchantment of the
Seas on 03 September (instead of 13 August
as planned).
