‘Elvis’ will be ‘Rockin’ the Mekong’ in September 2016 with one of Australia’s leading tribute artists, Damian Mullin, teaming up with The Cruise Gallery for an inimitable travel experience.
Aboard the RV La Marguerite, an intimate five-star floating hotel, guests will embark on a river cruise through Vietnam and Cambodia enjoying performances from the King as part of the 13-day tour.
“It’s an opportunity to present something different with a more intimate atmosphere,” said Jodie Quick, Director of The Cruise Gallery, a division of Meridian Travel based in Melbourne.
“Most music cruises are on larger ships sailing around the Pacific islands; Rockin’ the Mekong gives passengers the chance to travel somewhere more adventurous and exotic with the comfort of Elvis’ crooning!”
On board, a pool, spa and fitness centre, lavish suites, attentive staff and delicious regional and international dining experiences will provide for a complete luxury retreat. Australia’s most sought-after Elvis entertainer, Damian Mullin, will perform seven shows. An award-winning artist, Damian took out the first ever Elvis Presley Enterprises-endorsed ‘Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest’ held in Australia in 2012.
Aside from entertainment, the tour is designed to immerse passengers in the culture of authentic Asia with expert local guides throughout. In Vietnam, discover the fascinating Cu Chi Tunnels of Ho Chi Minh City and learn about grass-roots organisations like Koto, a culinary training centre and restaurant assisting disadvantaged youth. Cambodia brings a Buddhist blessing in Oudong, Khmer classical dancing and incredible explorations of The Temples of Angkor Wat and the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.
The 13-day, all-inclusive tour is priced from only AU$4,995 per person, twin-share ex Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane; includes return airfares, seven-night Mekong cruise plus five nights’ pre and post-accommodation.
Bookings made by 31 January 2016 will receive a free ticket to one of Damian’s upcoming Elvis tribute shows in Sydney/Melbourne, subject to availability.
