Darr replaces Kelly Craighead, who announced her departure earlier this year.
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has appointed Bud Darr as its new global Chief Executive Officer.
The MSC Maritime Policy & Government Affairs chief replaces Kelly Craighead in the role, after she announced her departure earlier this year, following six years in the top job.
Darr is a maritime lifer, and had previously spent seven years at CLIA in a number of executive roles, including Senior Vice President of Technical & Regulatory Affairs.
“Bud’s proven leadership and dedication to advancing the cruise industry’s policies and environmental leadership practices make him the ideal candidate to lead us into a new era of growth and innovation,” CLIA Chair Jason Liberty said.
