CroisiEurope, the largest and longest-established river-cruise company in Europe, has another, lesser-known side to its operation: it runs specialist barge cruises.
While the company’s river cruise ships, now operating on 16 European rivers, have been renowned for decades, CroisiEurope barge cruises have several delightful distinctions:
• All shore excursions are included in the price.
• All meals are included.
• All drinks, whether at the bar or with meals, are included too, with the exception of premium brands.
• Bicycles carried on the barges are provided free for passengers to use ashore.
The company has revamped the feel of cruising the French canals in Alsace-Lorraine, Burgundy, Champagne, Provence and Paris with a fleet of new, modern and comfortable canal barges.
To lift the profile of barge cruising in the Australian market, CroisiEurope’s Australian general sales agent Cruise Abroad has released a new brochure dedicated solely to the delights of CroisiEurope’s latest French barge cruising options, available throughout 2015. It’s called: “Cruising the Beautiful Waterways of France”.
Itineraries include ‘The Great War, Cruise the Marne Canal in Champagne,’ ‘Burgundy’, ‘Provence; From Avignon to Sete’. Those are just three.
