PRINCESS Cruises has unveiled plans for its 2022-23 Australian summer season of sailings, including the deployment of two Royal-class ships from Sydney, vessels homeporting in Melbourne and Brisbane and a new Round World Cruise.
The cruise line’s entire Australian fleet will be MedallionClass-ready in time for the season, with Grand Princess to make her debut in the country, sailing out of Melbourne.
Coral Princess will return to Brisbane, from where she will sail longer voyages, including the 107-night Round World Cruise, which will visit 26 countries across six continents.
She will also sail a 28-day Australian circumnavigation, and longer itineraries taking in Hawaii, Tahiti and the South Pacific.
The entire planned program will offer 134 departures on 90 itineraries to 108 destinations in 33 countries, with the 3,560-passenger Royal Princess (pictured) and sister ship Majestic Princess to operate from Sydney.
Senior Vice President Asia Pacific Stuart Allison told Cruise Weekly the cruise line continues to see good demand.
“Many of our popular 2022 voyages are already waitlisted, that’s why we’re publishing some 2023 cruises much earlier than normal,” he said.
Allison said with a vast number of clients out there that opted for a future cruise credit rather than a refund when their 2020 or 2021 holiday was cancelled, Princess has developed new CRM tools to help travel advisors identify and market to those clients who have yet to rebook.
“These are the hottest of hot leads to chase right now,” he said.
The season opens for sale on 02 Mar for Princess Elite guests and the following day to the public.
