VIKING River Cruises is set for a massive
2012, with the company confirming details of
the christening of four of its six new Viking
Longships in about eight weeks time.
Viking Njord, Viking Odin, Viking Idun and
Viking Freya will be named together in an
historic ceremony in Amsterdam on 21 Mar,
with two more vessels, Viking Embla and
Viking Aegir to make their debut in Jul and Aug.
Despite the huge boost to capacity this year,
Viking said that given “unprecedented
demand” it’s also reviewing its new build
program for 2013 and 214.
