No single supplements, youth
and seniors fares, fly-cruise
packages and a return to Dubai
are among highlights of the
new program.
MSC Cruises has launched next year’s
schedule with high hopes and low fares for the
“Arabian Peninsula” and Europe.
The new brochure outlines deals for all ages
and situations, including 13 pages of air, land
and sea packages inclusive of airfares from
Australia.
MSC is courting solo travellers by waiving
the single supplement on select summer
departures in the Mediterranean and offering
50% surcharge on other sailings.
Discounts of $100-$300 per cabin are also on
offer for 18-29 year olds or seniors over 65.
For families, as always with MSC, kids under
18 sail free when travelling in the same
cabin as their parents, while special fares are
available for inter-connecting family cabins.
New for this year, the cruise line’s loyalty card
is given to first-time cruisers on the first day
of the cruise to allow immediate access to all
MSC Club benefits.
Returning to home-port in Dubai after a twoseason
hiatus, the company is also looking for
more adventurous Australians to explore this
closer-to-home destination.
Awareness in cruising is increasing in Dubai in
general, with a new terminal in planning along
with strong passenger targets (CW 16 May).
“We believe Arabia will grow again with
Australians because of the infrastructure that
has been invested in Dubai,” said Lynne Clarke,
managing director Australia and New Zealand.
“They’ll do anything for cruising,” she added.
Fares start at $559 per person for a sevennight
Med cruise and $729 for Arabian cruises.
An unlimited drinks package is sold predeparture
for $36 per person per day.
“Most Australians purchase it,” said Clarke.
