THE Norwegian pilot strike which interrupted
several cruise ship calls to the port of Oslo, and
threatened disturbing services to other
Norwegian ports, has been called off with the
pilot unions reaching wage agreements with
the relevant authorities after a week of action.
All vessels 70 metres or more in length in
Norwegian ports are subject to compulsory
pilotage when operating in waters within the
sea boundary.
