OCEANIA Cruises Vice President AU/NZ Jason Worth (pictured) had a big night, after the cruise line’s Tropics and Exotics collection went on sale globally at about 1am AEDT.
Worth gave Cruise Weekly a sneak peek at the program, which includes departures from late 2022 into 2023 and some intriguing itineraries, such as a 35-day Australian circumnavigation and a NZ roundtrip voyage ex-Sydney, which is a first for the region.
He said after the recent rapid sellout of Oceania’s 2023 World Cruise (CW 09 Feb), the cruise line was expecting strong local demand for the program, and in particular some of the longer “bucket list” itineraries including a 77-day odyssey from Los Angeles to Australia via Alaska, Russia, Japan and South East Asia.
Half-price deposits are on offer for bookings over the next two months to help agents get travellers over the line, building on Oceania’s strong focus on the trade including launch of a new advisor loyalty program which is now live – see oceaniatradeconnect.com and the front page for more.
