Luxury river cruise operator, Pandaw River Expeditions (www.pandaw.com), has announced a series of new enhancements to their on board product in Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and China for 2016.
New Suite Staterooms on Pandaw II & Mekong Pandaw
New for 2016 Pandaw has altered the configuration of the staterooms on the front section of the upper deck of the Pandaw 2 and the Mekong Pandaw to create a series of beautiful new suites.
At over 360 square feet / 32 square metres they are the largest staterooms seen to date on a Pandaw vessel and will feature a private balcony and a spacious lounge area with a sofa plus double or twin bed and private bathroom. A range of enhanced in-room amenities include minibar and Espresso machine as well as a basket of fruit on arrival. Guests booking a suite also benefit from complimentary house wine with lunch and dinner.
The suites will be available on departures aboard the Mekong Pandaw from July 2016 and from October 2016 on the Pandaw 2. Prices start from USD 4,245 per person twin share in high season cruise only for a suite on the Mekong Pandaw’s 7-night Classic Mekong cruise.
Quality Mountain Bikes – now available on all Pandaw ships
For guests wishing to make their own discoveries by bike, though the pagodas and temples of Pagan or amongst the scenic Burmese countryside and friendly villages, can hire a ‘Giant’ branded mountain bike on any Pandaw owned ship in Burma and Indochina for the first time.
Available from December 2015, at each river stop, the Pandaw crew will advise guests on the best routes to follow and if required a member of the crew will accompany the guests on their cycle adventures.
Bikes on board are bookable on www.pandaw.com for USD 25 per bike per cruise.
Private Dining – now available on all Pandaw ships
Whilst dining on-board a Pandaw cruise is very much a convivial shared experience, there may be times when guests would prefer the privacy of a table for two. With this in mind Pandaw has introduced the flexibility for passengers to book private at no extra cost, via the website www.pandaw.com.
Pandaw’s NEW Family Friendly Cruises
Families with children of all ages will find a Pandaw River Expedition cruise both inspirational and educational. Now for the first time a special programme of family friendly cruises has been devised on specific school holiday departures.
Departing on either 30th July 2016 or for Christmas on 24 December 2016 on the ‘Burma-Mandalay Pagan Packet’ itinerary, a seven-night cruise costs from USD 1,535 per person, cruise only.
Alternatively, departing 6th August 2016 the 7-night ‘Classic Mekong’ itinerary costs from USD 1,560 per person main deck twin share.
All these itineraries include a special programme of shore excursions, with ‘challenges’ to undertake and cycling tours of the local area as a family or with a group. Meals have also been designed for children and teenagers in mind and children can even have a go at cooking with an on board cooking lesson and chill out with movie nights and other family friendly on-board activities.
Children aged under four years old travel free if sleeping in a cot and sharing a stateroom with two adults. Children aged between four and 18 years sharing a stateroom with two adults receive a 50% reduction on the adult price.
