EVER WANTED YOUR OWN GUNSHIP?
Leaders of the cash-strapped Ukrainian
military have taken the unusual revenue
raising step of popping a few helicopter
gunships to the public via the popular
shopping site, eBay.
The gunships are basically Russian
built Mi-8 and Mi-171 attack helicopters,
designed to be launched off aircraft carriers.
The birds of sea come replete with
guided anti-tank missiles, rockets and
armour-shredding chainguns.
Unfortunately for punters, the sea attack
helicopters do not come with their own
aircraft carrier, however buyers can pick
one up for the basement bargain price of
between $8 million for an almost new,
fully loaded chopper to $300,000 for an
older model.
For convenience, the military has said
the choppers can be delivered anywhere.
CAKE BOSS EAT YOUR HEART OUT!
Last week, chefs throughout Carnival Corporation’s fleet of ships (which includes P&O, Princess Cruises, Cunard Line, Seabourn, P&O Cruises World Cruising, Costa Cruises and Carnival Cruise Lines vessels), were kept busy by each crafting their version of the biggest and best cake, to celebrate the deliveryof the company’s 100th ship, Carnival Magic. Pictured below is the cake created by the team onboard Pacific Jewel, which features a book made of cake, with the 100 names of each of Carnival’s vessels. To create the masterpiece, chefs on-board Jewel crafted a 120kg butter cake base, topped with a dark chocolate brushed scroll, a marzipan covered kangaroo and the book which took an additional block of butter cake to make and weighs in at a hefty 60kg.
