A POSSIBLE NEW CRUISE SHIP ENTERTAINER?
A US diver, Darren Taylor, has broken
his own world record, by safely diving
36-feet off of a springboard into a
kiddies pool filled with 12-inches of water.
To achieve the dive, Taylor says he
uses a diving technique designed to
spread the impact across his body and
thus lessen it, coupled with freezing
paddle pool water (which means it is
dense without being frozen over).
HERE’S AN IDEA FOR YOUR NEXT SCUBA DIVE…
A group of German scuba divers have
recently cracked an unusual record, the
world’s longest underwater game of cards.
The stunt involved 16 divers, a pool in
Geiselhoering, a long table, chairs, and
a pack of waterproof cards.
It is reported that the group played the
traditional Bavarian card game called
Sheep’s Head for a grand total of 36
hours, working in shifts so that they
could change their oxygen tanks.
