The world’s finest ultra-luxury cruise line, Seabourn is enhancing its Ventures by Seabourn expedition program in northern Europe this summer, giving guests onboard Seabourn Quest new opportunities to experience the region’s picturesque destinations.
Designed for small groups, Ventures by Seabourn excursions enable guests to explore stunning waterways and fjords, secluded inlets and scenic islands via Zodiac inflatable boats or double sea kayaks launched from the unique fold-out water sports marina onboard all Seabourn vessels.
The optional excursions are led by an expert team of scientists, scholars and naturalists with a guide-to-guest ratio of 1:14 maximum.
Guests travelling onboard Seabourn Quest during its northern Europe season will be offered more than 30 Ventures by Seabourn excursions this year, including:
- Puffins, Eidorers and Guillemots on Vigur Island – Discover Iceland’s small island of Vigur, home to a harmonious gathering of thousands of birds, a beautiful landscape and Europe’s smallest post office.
Fjord Journey through Prins Christian Sund – Experience the dramatic high mountain faces and scoured rock massifs by Zodiac, while looking for icebergs and waterfalls engorged by meltwater.
Extensive Fjord Exploration to Trollfjord – Join the resident naturalist on a Zodiac to explore the sheltered fjords of Norway and the Lofoten Islands, discovering flora and fauna while watching for moose.
As part of Seabourn’s ongoing focus on enrichment, guests will also enjoy a strong onboard academic program, with Seabourn Conversations from the ship’s impressive expedition team, including: Ignacio “Iggy” Rojas, Ventures Leader aboard Seabourn Quest and expedition cruising expert; Dr. Coleen Batey, a Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Glasgow; Luciano “Luqui” Bernacchi, a mountain, ski and naturalist guide who has more than 20 years of experience; and Kara Weller, an Alaska native with a background in research for universities on both sides of the Atlantic.
“Building on the success of Ventures by Seabourn in Antarctica, our Northern Europe guests will have access to intimate and exclusive new ways to see this stunning landscape,” Seabourn Senior Vice President Global Marketing and Sales John Delaney said. “With a wide selection of exciting excursions and meaningful enrichment content led by a world class expedition team, Seabourn continues to ensure our guests experience the very best that our worldwide destinations have to offer.”
