SEABOURN Cruise Line (SCL) has partnered with the Barbados Government to launch luxury cruises in the country from Jul.
The line will operate a series of seven-day sailings round-trip from Bridgetown (pictured) during the northern summer.
Beginning 18 Jul, Seabourn Odyssey will operate two distinct itineraries from Barbados to a range of Southern Caribbean destinations including Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts.
Guests can also choose a 14-day option, which combines the two itineraries.
The trips include unique Seabourn experiences, such as Caviar in the Surf at Carambola Beach Club, which has become a perennial favourite among travellers.
The day includes chilled caviar, champagne, a lavish barbecue lunch with grilled lobster, fresh fruit, and other delicious dishes.
A Marina Day is also scheduled, where the ship’s staff treats guests to an afternoon of active watersports operated directly from a platform on the back of the ship.
Each sailing also features a sea day for time spent on board.
“We are grateful to be working in concert with the Government of Barbados to restart tourism in Barbados and the Caribbean Sea,” said Seabourn President Josh Leibowitz.
“The entire Seabourn family is energized to provide our award-winning service, dining and entertainment on board Seabourn Odyssey starting again this Jul.”
Minister of Tourism Lisa Cummins said Barbados was looking forward to welcoming Seabourn back to its shores, and was pleased with the outlook for the restart of the cruise industry.
“Safe travel is our priority, and placing vaccinations and other key public health travel protocols at the core of our cruise industry restart will not only restore traveller confidence, but also offer comfort to visitors and Barbadians alike.”
The voyages opened for booking on Wed.
Seabourn previously announced plans to resume guest operations in Greece aboard Ovation starting 03 Jul (CW 07 Apr).
