NORWEGIAN Cruise Line is launching a smart
phone application, Norwegian iConcierge,
which is designed to facilitate iPhone, iPad,
Android and Windows7 users’ interaction
with Norwegian Epic’s onboard guest information
and service systems during their cruise.
The free application allows users to interact
with Norwegian Epic’s systems from anywhere
onboard, meaning they can make shore
excursion and dining reservations, gather
information about onboard services and review
their folio activity, all from their smart phones.
In addition, Norwegian iConcierge enables
guests to make and send unlimited calls and
messages to other guests onboard at an
introductory rate of $7.95 for the entire sailing.
According to NCL the free to download program
will “soon be available through Apple, Android
and Windows7 smart phone application stores”.
Currently, the application is exclusively for
guests sailing on Epic beginning with its 24
March 2012 departure, but deployment to the
remaining fleet is expected in the near future.
