Uniworld has released images of the newly refurbished River Royale including the new Blue Fox Dining space and Vinoteque private dining area. The ship was relocated from its previous home in the south of France to Bordeaux to service the new river cruise itinerary Bordeaux, Vineyards & Châteaux.
Ahead of the first sailing in early April, River Royale was remodelled to ensure the ship, which was inaugurated in 2006, provides an unparalleled experience reflective of Uniworld’s six-star standards. The soft-refurbishments include a new Blue Fox Dining space that provides guests with an alternative dining venue, allowing them to enjoy a meal on the ship’s sundeck. Another new addition is the Vinoteque where guests can sample wines from the Aquitaine region or have a more intimate private dining experience.
Additional touches include complimentary body products by French brand L’Occitane and 13 varieties of Newby of London loose leaf tea. There is a masseur and wellbeing coach as well as a dedicated sommelier onboard. The River Royale accommodates 132 guests with 41 staff – a ratio of one staff member per three guests.
The 8-day Bordeaux, Vineyards & Châteaux itinerary is priced from $4,484 per person, twin-share. Price includes all onboard and onshore gratuities, all meals and unlimited beverages onboard including fine wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks, airport transfers on arrival and departure days, shore excursions hosted by English-speaking local experts, all entertainment and Signature Lectures, complimentary internet and Wi-Fi, and onboard entertainment. Departures are available until 9 November, 2014.
