Staterooms now on sale to the public
GRAMMY Award® winning rock band Train and Sixthman, the industry leader in festivals at sea, have partnered once again to host the fourth voyage of the Sail Across the Sun music and wine festival. Pairing a variety of widely appealing musical acts with an equally broad array of wine and onboard activities, this year’s Sail Across the Sun cruise will host more than 2,000 guests as they travel between Tampa, Florida, and Costa Maya, Mexico February 15-19, 2017 aboard the beautiful Norwegian Jade.
Sail Across the Sun vacationers will be treated to dozens of musical performances over four nights, including three headlining performances from their roots-rocking hosts, Train. Two of those sets will be in the band’s full electric glory, while the other will be presented in an intimate, acoustic format.
The diverse musical lineup features folk-inflected pop rocker Matt Nathanson, genre-defying Michael Franti & Spearhead, Brit-pop songbird Natasha Bedingfield and positivity-spreading hip-hop group Arrested Development. They’ll be joined by a wide array of musical acts including Toad the Wet Sprocket frontman Glen Phillips, Yacht Rock Revue, Simplified, Bastard Bearded Irishmen and Headphone Disco. Former Saturday Night Live comedian Jim Breuer and yogi John Jessum are special guests on board, and more musical acts will be revealed in the coming months.
“Sail Across The Sun is all about spending time with friends, new and old,” says Train’s Pat Monahan. “We’re excited to bring some fresh faces aboard to join our party at sea.”
More than a vacation, Sail Across the Sun is a journey of thrilling offerings —cruisers will have the opportunity to take part in wine tastings with James Foster, including Train’s own Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co., adding a relaxed glow to special activities, autograph sessions and unpredictable collaborations that seem to take shape at the popping of a cork.
Double occupancy Sail Across the Sun staterooms begin at US$925 per person, plus taxes and fees. For more information about booking your vacation, visit us online at sailacrossthesun.com.
