A new 16-page brochure detailing Un-Cruise Adventures’ Columbia & Snake River cruises rolled off the presses recently and is available for travel agents. The 88-guest S.S. Legacy sails weeklong river cruises roundtrip Portland, Oregon from April through November.
“People are beginning to discover that we have an incredibly scenic river cruise opportunity right here in the western USA,” said Tim Jacox, principal and executive vice president. “A separate brochure better distinguishes our two river cruise itineraries, each with distinct programming.”
The brochure provides information on two itineraries—the Legacy of Discovery with its living history program and Ameritage! Four Rivers of Wine & History with its focus on regional wine. Both itineraries begin and end in Portland, Oregon and cruise through stunning scenery from the lush Pacific Northwest, the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, and on to the rolling hills of the Palouse.
The Legacy of Discovery itinerary includes shoreside tours and lively on board presentations focused on Lewis and Clark’s expedition, Oregon Trail, Native Americans, early pioneers and entrepreneurs. Highlights include a jet boat tour into Hells Canyon, Multnomah Falls, Bonneville Dam, private tasting at a Washington winery, Fort Walla Walla, Maryhill Museum, Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, Astoria’s Columbia River Maritime Museum, Fort Clatsop and transit of eight locks. Rates begin at US$3,195 per person, double occupancy.
The Ameritage! Four Rivers of Wine & History itinerary is offered August 15, August 22, August 29 and September 5, 2015. The voyage highlights the burgeoning wine regions in Washington and Oregon including Walla Walla, recently named one of the top ten wine regions in the world. A local wine expert joins guests on board for the week leading presentations and wine tastings. Tastings at nine wineries are included in the cruise fare. Rates begin at US$3,695 per person, double occupancy.
Inclusive adventures on the Columbia & Snake Rivers include all activities; exquisite meals; fine wine, premium spirits and microbrews; hot tub, sauna, exercise equipment, yoga on deck and a massage for wellness; transfers; and all port charges, taxes and fees.
