Aria to leave fleet ahead of schedule.
The departure of Pacific Aria from the P&O Cruises Australia fleet has been brought forward from Apr next year after the cruise line reached an agreement to sell the ship during its pause in operations.
Pacific Aria will now leave “as soon as next month”, with P&O Australia to assist guests who were booked on the ship from 18 Dec, with all cruises post that date now cancelled.
Aria was initially due to leave the fleet next year, but her departure was brought forward six months to enable the sale of the ship, reportedly to Seajets Group.
P&O Australia President Sture Myrmell hailed Pacific Aria, and apologised to guests for the inconvenience, acknowledging how challenging it had been given the continued extension of the operational pause since Mar.
Pacific Aria sailed for P&O Australia from 2015 to 2020.
